Nicholas C. Syregelas, Founding Partner

Nicholas C. Syregelas founded The Law Offices of Nicholas C. Syregelas which later grew to his present firm Syregelas & Kasmarick, LLC.  He began his legal career as a Felony Trial Assistant with the Cook Country State's Attorneys Office from 1978 to 1981. Since moving into private practice, Mr. Syregelas has concentrated in a broad range of civil litigation matters, including personal injury, legal and medical malpractice, and wrongful death. Mr. Syregelas has also achieved considerable success in divorce and corporate litigation matters, and has drawn upon his experience with the State’s Attorneys Office to successfully defend many clients against serious criminal charges. Mr. Syregelas has tried over 50 jury trials and has obtained several multi-million dollar awards.

Mr. Syregelas is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, a national organization whose members have achieved $1,000,000+ awards for their clients. He is also a member of the Federal Criminal Defender Bar and has been appointed to numerous cases over the years, including the trials involving a notorious Chicagoland gang, "the El Rukens." He is a member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, the Federal Trial Bar, and the United Hellenic American Congress.  He served as president of the Hellenic Bar Association in 2011-2012 and was named the HBA's Attorney of the Year in 2015.
